The Mon Valley Sports Car Club was founded in the early 1960's. The founding members included Wayne Long's parents as well as many of their friends. As events were often a family affair, many of the members were husband and wife.
The original crew started with Tom & Pat Long, Dick & Susie Whiteman, Jim & Connie Welch, Dave & Fran Teter, Ronnie & Ginnie Mason and Bruce & Carol Gezon.
The original cars included a Lotus Elan, Triumph TR3, Bugeye Sprite, Fiat OSCA, Porsche 356 and many more.
This club is active in the Morgantown area and more information can be found at www.mvscc.org .
