Do not confuse this car with the average Alfa Spider as this is collector grade in an exquisite color combination of beige over chocolate interior. $15,900. This 1975 Triumph TR6 shows 57k miles and remained with the second owner from the summer of 1977 until it was recently acquired by the selling dealer. Power comes from a 2.5L inline-six coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission, and the car is said to retain its factory emissions air pump. Service records dating back to 1977 are included, and optional Ziebart rust proofing was applied by the original dealer when the car was new. This example is finished in Topaz Orange, a two year only color on the TR6. It is being offered by a dealer with a clean West Virginia title. The paint is reported to be largely original, with both doors, the panel around the gas filler opening, and a small section around one of the headlights showing evidence of being refinished. The seller notes that there is a dime-sized bubble in the paint on the driver’s door. Ziebart rust proofing was applied by the dealer when new, and the original sticker for the coating is present on the windshield. The seller claims the top to be original and is in good condition for its age, with photos in the gallery below. Exterior chrome and trim show little to no pitting or fading, and the factory wheels are still present. This car was fitted with the optional trunk luggage rack. A restoration of the seats was completed in 2017 due to foam and rubber deterioration, and no cracks or splitting are shown on the newer covers. A factory tonneau cover is present in the trunk of the car, as well as the factory steering wheel and shift knob. The odometer shows 57k miles and is believed accurate based on provided records. All gauges are reported to function properly. Power comes from the factory 2498cc inline-six coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission. The factory emission air pump is still present and the car is said to run well. Extensive service and repair records are present with the car dating back to 1977. Details of some major services are provided below. The last major service occurred in August of 2012 when the following was completed: Replaced exhaust down pipes and intermediate pipes with stainless, flushed and replaced gearbox fluids, adjusted valves, replaced cap, rotor, points and condenser, tuned carbs, replaced diaphragms, cleaned pistons and dampers, replaced thermostat, clean and flush coolant system. Prior to that, two other major services are noted: a head gasket was replaced in 2010 and the brakes, heater hoses, and more were replaced in 2007. Additionally, fluids were changed in May 2017 in preparation for the sale. The original owners manual is included in the sale. Originally manufactured in April of 1975 in Topaz Orange, the paint code “84” was a two year option on the TR6, offered only in 1975 and 1976.
